Let's Know More About V LIVE: a Universe Wide Live Broadcasting

If you have been wondering about my two previous posts, about what V beauty and V Musical are and where they come from. This post will give you the explanation.

So, V Beauty and V Musical are two channels of so many channels that exist in V.Live. V.Live is a very popular broadcasting application among KPOP fans. This app is already downloaded by 35 Million in 249 countries.

In V.Live we can watch and follow our KPop Idol’s life by their videos. Usually every boyband and girlband in KPOP have their own channel that their fans can follow. Here KPOP Idols post videos about their daily activity, life style, and anything regarding their comeback. Even when they do a live broadcasting in real time, we can see them live and message them directly by commenting in the comment field. The Idol will also answer it during their live broadcast.

Just like other live app such Facebook live and Instagram live, V Live also have love button that we can press as many as possible to express our love to the video. But what makes V Live different is the Love shape that appear when we press it. In V Live, the two fingers Love shape that well known in Korea (thumbs and index finger) appears.

V Live in my opinion is an app that helps KPOP Idols and their fans to get closer to each other. Because not only by videos they also can interact by chats. There are columns Celeb and Fan where Idol and fans can share anything other than video such photos and texts. In Fan field fans also can share anything with other fans and Idols can also see it.

Another interesting thing in V.Live is in every channel we follow, there is a Level from 1 to 7 that measures our Chemi-Beat, which it means how often we open and watch the videos on that channel. To increase this level we just simply follow and watch more videos. Like in the 5th picture, it shows that my level in BTS channel is Level 6.

V Live provides us not only about KPOP contents, but also anything related to Hallyu such as Drama, Movie, Actor/actress’ live streaming, fashion, musical and beauty (like my previous posts). In V Drama channel there are so many interesting Web Drama posted here such as Entourage, Idol Operation Drama, etc. In Movie and Actor/Actress’ channel we can know more about their promotions, behind the scene, and also their thoughts during filming.

Since I am a BTS trash, my favorite channel in V Live is BTS channel. BTS always use this app to share every moment they had with their fans. For instance when they received an award from Billboard and when they are in world tour, they will make a live broadcast. Even in the moment they are about to release a new album, they also make a live broadcast to explain their the concept and their process in making it.

What makes me love BTS and V Live more is that every week there are programs namely BTS Gayo and BTS Run. Those programs play in approximately 20 minutes which BTS will play games about KPOP or following the missions. Last week they held BTS Home Party to celebrste BTS' 4th Anniversary. Moreover, within this week, they will release BTS Bon Voyage 2 that will show their journey in Hawaii, while the Bon Voyage 1 was in North Europe.

The videos in V Live are mostly free. We don’t need to pay, just register by our Naver, Line, Facebook, or Twitter account, we can have a V Live account. Despite of it, V Live also provides paid channel called V Live+ that marked with symbol CH+. V Live+ is a premium channel that we can get much more closer to our KPOP Idol. They usually post behind the scene about their project and the real chat to their fans. The cost also is affordable only USD2,99/Month and it will be cheaper if we subscribe for 3-month, 6 month, or a year.

Finally I can say, V Live really help us to get closer and know more about Hallyu and our KPOP Idols. We can enjoy V live both in our phone and our computer. In phone we can download it in Playstore or Apple store and we call it V App. For computer user, we just simply visit "http://vlive.tv" in our web browser.

Jadi Gini Ceritanya

Jadi gini ceritanya,

V.Friends S3: Radio for Musical event in V Musical Channel

V Musical channel has a “regular” show, that is Oh! Carol Romantic Radio. I say this “regular” because I see several videos with the tittle Oh Carol Romantic Radio. This show is like a streaming radio live, where you can see the announcer doing the broadcasting. There is no mixer like in actual radio, they just use V Live as bassist of their live radio streaming.

Usually, this show broadcasts when there is a musical that will be held in specific theater. Like in this video the announcers are going to perform a musical. Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly what musical is because the subtitle didn’t work properly. It didn’t match that much but if it matches, it’s only for several conversations. But they talked about the characters they play such as Esther, Del, and Gabe. When I search on Google, the title “Breaking Up Is Hard to Do” appeared. Maybe that is the tittle they are going to perform but I’m not so sure.

There are 3 announcers of this radio and they are the casts of the musical. There are Fiestar’s Linzy and two men who I didn’t know the names. But the man who wore white jacket plays as Gabe in the musical and the pink one plays as Del. In this radio show, they thank fans and viewers who support the musical. They also tell about the characters they play.

Not only talk about the musical, the announcers also show their awesome vocal ability. They sing several songs that will be performed in the musical. They sing with and without instrument. Because Gabe sing with the guitar in this show.

Another important point of this radio show is the announcers invite three guests from their musical casts alternately. With the guests the announcers also sing together and there is also same time when only the guests sing.

I think the existence of Musical and also the Oh Carol Romantic Radio is really good to promote the musical that are showing in Korea. It helps them to gain more participants and also feel appreciated.

V.Friends S3: Interview with the casts of Korean Musical Death Note

If you are a fan of Death Note manga, movie, anime, or even the Japanese Drama, you must be will love Korean Musical Death Note. The Korea Production of Death Note Musical is also based on the manga and anime of the same tittle. The casts of Korea production are Kim Junsu as L, Han Jisang as Light, Park Hyena as Rem the death god, Ben as Misa, and Kang Hong Seok as Ryuk the death god.
This time I will review a video from V Musical Channel about Death Note. It is not the musical, but it is just like an interview of the casts of Musical Death Note without MC. Luckily, the subtitle in this video works really good. So, if you don’t speak Hangeul, you can understand the video with the subtitles that are available.
By watching the video, you will know the casts’ stories about the musical. For example, the hardships of Park Hyena and Kang Hong Seok who must wearing heavy make up for the musical because of their role as the death god. It takes around 40-70 minutes to put on the makeup. It also takes several time to remove it.
The casts are also sharing their feeling about the musical and their funny moments. They also praise of each casts effort for musical and they share their thoughts about the role they play. It’s like they can understand the feeling of each characters, such as how and why Rem so care about Misa, despite of her identity as the death god.
An event couldn’t be successful without the presence of participants or viewers. Through this V Live, they also read the comments by the viewers. At the end they thank to the audiences who came to the show and people who support them. However, they also feel pitiful that the show have to be finish and wish it can be extended. Unfortunately because of Junsu’s enlistment in military they can’t do that.
If you’re Korean or live in Korea and already watched the musical, you got to also see this video. Because the video will show you like behind the scene and the casts’ thoughts during the musical through their talks in this video.

V.Friends S3: In The Heights Showcase of V Musical Channel Review

This is my first time to post a review in English in this blog. So I've choosen as a part of V.Friends Season 3. V.Friends is the ambassador of V apps from South Korea. In the previous post in my other social media, I reviewed some videos about V Beauty Channel. Now I got a new mission to review a video from the channel of V Musical.

I already heard many times about musical but I never watch it live or on TV. I also like listening to the music but I didn’t pay much attention to musical. I think, in Indonesia musical is not so well-known event for mostly people if we compare to concerts, except for several people who like this kind of event.

Since the title of videos on this channel mostly is written in Hangeul and also mix in English, so I picked a random video and BAM. I found video with SHINee’s Key on it. Since I like SHINee, his appearance made me more excited to watch the video.

The title of this video was “Musical In The Heights Showcase”. This is the showcase of Korean Production of Musical “In The Heights”. This musical was originally based on the Broadway Musical that premiered in March 2008. It tells the story of the life of immigrants living in Washington Heights, on the northern tip of Manhattan, which is known as a largely Latin American neighborhood of New York City.

The video starts with the entrance of the casts sing & dance together for a few seconds. On the stage already set numerous seats for those casts. As they sit, SHINee’s Key stands up and starts to sing a song titled “In The Heights”. Key is not the only Idol who plays in this musical. There are also Infinite’s Jang Dongwoo and Kim Sungkyu. Yang Don Geun, J-Min, and Oh Seo Yeun also take a part of this musical.

Because this is just a showcase and not the actual event of the musical, this video only shows us the songs that will be played at the musical with little acts from the casts. The played songs are In The Height, It Won’t Be Long Now, 96.000, When You’re Home, Sunrise, Carnaval Del Barrio, Champagne, and Finale. Of course, all these songs were played based on the original musical.

If the original musical was delivered in English and Spanish, the songs in this Korean productions are delivered in Korean and mixed little in Spanish. Despite of it, the melody is still influenced by Latin American vibes. They also sing various genre such as rap, hip hop, and pop.

Even though the showcase and even the musical already played several months ago, the video of this showcase is still worth to watch because all the casts has amazing vocals and their acts on that small stage are pretty cool and funny. The songs are also easy listening. I enjoyed listening to the songs.

Only watch the showcase made me curious to see the real musical. The channel V Musical also has the preview in 30 seconds of In The Heights musical. The stage and the performance in that short time made me curious even more.
